As much as I am enjoying my Nex6 as is, I also want the new application that you can now download for the camera and expand its capabilities. Especially the free remote app is great. I then use my iPad mini to get a great live view wirelessly from the camera and can preview the pics and they are automatically saved on the iPad. ( although at a reduced size), but I am having some trouble not shouting at Sony for the way they have set up their account management/buy experience for international customers. :(
I am a Dane living in Japan, and because my credit card is from a Danish bank it is causing issues with me creating an account, and buying using my DK credit card. The reason for this is that the Sony online store tries to verify the card to an address in the country as per the IP address. *sigh*
So creating an account, Sony forces me to make an account with a physical JP address, and then refuses to verify my DK credit card because it is registered to my DK address. Really?!... Sony? Your customers can't be living abroad?
And yes, I can use VPN to try and fool the Sony store etc etc... it just really should not have to be that hard (=_=;)
"Oh but why not just get an Japanese credit card?" OH NO YOU DIDN'T JUST ASK ME THAT!? (>_<') the lovely story of Japanese credit companies will be a separate rant. 😡
So far I have had to make do with the free apps, of which the remote app and the picture effects are pretty cool, but last might I finally got the sony account up and running.
More on time lapse and bracket apps later, so stay tuned. ;)
