More on vegetarian food in Japan

So the ”meat-lover” that I am, I was horrified to see that my company’s dinner invitation was to an ”all-vegetarian” restuarant. Σ(゚д゚;)I remember thinking to myself; ”I will just have to grab a burger on my way home...or alternatively eat one of the vegetarians at the restaurant”.

But luckily there was a bit of meat but even without the meat, the meal was absolutely fabulous. ...wow, did I just use the word ”fabulous” about vegetarian food?!

Well let me tell you why... (⌒_⌒)

The restaurants is located in Roppongi Hills, Mori Tower on the 5th floor, in very elegant surroundings, and the service was way beyond our expectations.

As there were several people from our group that had special needs in regards to the food. We needed a restaurant that could rise to the challenge and Yasaiya Mei really did so in providing specially prepared meals for that occasion.

The food was beautifully arranged and with so much taste and that we were all surprised. Even the vegetarian amongst us was surprised at how fresh the ingredients were and the full taste of it. We had a miso base pot, and one with wagyuu (beef) as base. Both were very delicious, but mixing them was awesome. And with some very nice champagne and white wines to go with the meal, the dinner was a complete success.

(⌒_⌒) It turns out the one of the reasons for the delicious taste was, that ALL the vegetables was grown in the restaurants own all organic garden in Nagano Σ(゚д゚;) (that also explains the price. luckily the company paid everything)

If you ever get the chance to eat here, don’t rob yourself of the experience just because it says ”vegetarian” (^_-)
