Baseball game at Jinguu Stadium

Baseball Game with friends On the 2 may I went to meiji jinguu stadium with some friends to see my first ever baseball game. At this point it should be mentioned that there is no baseball in Denmark where I am from. Also the most popular sport in europe in soccer, so I did not even know the rules. (⌒_⌒)

One of my friends is a big fan of the underdog team that was playing, and et was him who invited me. Weather was beautiful, and I decided that my camera would come to shine at this event, so with that under my arm, off I went.

And what a show! I mean my american friend told me that Japanese baseball is completely different from a spectator point of view. and that japanese baseball is ”noisy”, well it was not like soccer-spectator-noisy, so I was complete fine with it. And there was a really good atmosphere. And the fans where really of all ages.

Bay stars vs Yakuruto Swallows Unfortunately the swallows which we were rooting for lost at 4-1 and this was a 6th consecutive loss for them. But despite this, we all still had a good time, and went on the a nice izakaya with some new friends to drink some good nihonshuu.

Here is the famous chant of the Swallows with the umbrellas. \(⌒∇⌒)

All though I will most likely never be a huge baseball fan, it was still a really fun experience. And I’m sure that if I had to choose I would pick the Japanese version over the american one any day (^_-)
